















Project Overview
The playground at Payne Elementary School in Washington, D.C. provides a vibrant mix of physical, sensory, and educational play for children ages 2–12. A PlayBooster® structure filled with slides, climbers, ramps, and bridges promotes balance, coordination, and active movement, while DigiFuse® panels weave learning into play with graphics exploring topics like the brain, atoms, and the moon. Inclusive features such as the Sway Fun® glider, tunnels, and sensory panels ensure that children of all abilities can participate fully. Safety and accessibility are enhanced with Surface America’s PlayBound™ Poured-in-Place surfacing, delivering a durable, ADA-friendly foundation that ties the space together as an engaging and inclusive school playground.
