Inclusive Playgrounds
Creating inclusive playgrounds that promote fun, challenge and growth.
Children benefit while exploring the four defined areas of developmental skills when at play: Sensory, Motor, Cognitive, Social/Emotional. That's why inclusive playgrounds—and all playgrounds—should provide a variety of developmental options for kids to choose. Multisensory experiences are good because using more than one sense at a time helps to build the brain more quickly. Inclusive playgrounds are accessible, sensory-stimulating, age-appropriate and developmentally-appropriate.
